BlackBerry Smart Card Drivers

Smart card drivers allow the BlackBerry® Smart Card Reader to communicate with various smart cards. The drivers must be installed on all BlackBerry smartphones that are used with the BlackBerry Smart Card Reader.

Note: BlackBerry® Device Software versions not listed below come with the latest BlackBerry Smart Card Drivers pre-installed. If a driver for your smart card isn’t listed on this page, you can write a driver for your smart card using the BlackBerry® Java® Development Environment. The Common Access Card (CAC), Personal Identity Verification (PIV) and SafeNet smart card drivers for BlackBerry Device Software v4.0.x, v4.1.x and v4.2.x can be downloaded and installed wirelessly to your BlackBerry smartphone. To install the drivers wirelessly, visit http://www.blackberry.com/go/smartcarddrivers from your BlackBerry smartphone.
