CHECK TO SEE IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A BLACKBERRY ID:
Follow the instructions below for your device and operating system (OS) or software version.

To check your smartphone's operating system (OS), simply type "myver" and hit space or enter. Your model number along with your OS version will appear.
You can also find your OS version by following the steps below:
- Find Options from your home screen (you may need to tap or select Settings first).
- Select About or About Device Versions (you may need to select Device first).
- Your model will either be located under a header called Model or, if your screen contains no header, your model will appear on the top line.
- Your OS version will either be located under a header called OS Version or, if your screen contains no headers, it will be the first set of numbers on the third line. In either case it will appear in the following format: v.6.0.0.141. In this example, 6.0 is the device's OS version and 141 is the device's software build.
BlackBerry® smartphones with BlackBerry® 10 OS
Look in Settings > BlackBerry ID to find out if you have one and what the username/email is.
BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry® 7 OS
Look in Options > Device > BlackBerry ID to find out if you have one and what the username/email is.
BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry® 6 OS
Look in Options > Third Party Applications > BlackBerry ID to find out if you have one and what the username/email is.
BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry® Device Software v5
Look in Options > BlackBerry ID to find out if you have one and what the username/email is.
BlackBerry® PlayBook tablets
A BlackBerry ID is mandatory on PlayBook. Look in Settings > About or in Settings > BlackBerry ID to find out what the username/email is.
