Manage devices, users, groups and policies from a single place

From a single interface, administrators can access the most common management tasks for the BlackBerry Device Service4,5, the Universal Device Service5, and BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and BlackBerry® Enterprise Server Express instances across multiple BlackBerry domains.

Manage and secure BlackBerry PlayBook tablets

The BlackBerry Device Service4,5 enables organizations to manage and secure PlayBook tablets. Administrators can set password requirements, enable encryption of work information, remotely lock tablets or wipe work-related or all information from PlayBook tablets.

Manage required and optional work applications

Administrators can support over-the-air installation, upgrading and auditing of required and optional apps for BlackBerry devices. For PlayBook tablets, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion works with BlackBerry App World™ to enable administrators to push and install required work apps on users' tablets. Administrators can also make a catalog of optional apps available for download through the work channel of BlackBerry App World6.

Support for devices that use iOS and Android operating systems

Use the Universal Device Service to manage and secure devices that use iOS2 and Android3 operating systems. Through the same familiar administrative interface, the Universal Device Service5 enables administrators to add and import iOS and Android users, create group memberships, view user and device information, define IT policies and connectivity settings, manage apps on devices and assist users in the recovery of misplaced devices.

Supports BlackBerry Balance technology for BlackBerry devices

BlackBerry Mobile Fusion includes BlackBerry Balance technology which allows BlackBerry devices to be used for personal and work purposes without compromising management or security. When a BlackBerry device is activated with BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, a secure AES-256 bit encrypted file system is created on the device for work information and applications. This creates a perimeter between work and personal data and helps keep information secure.

Security designed for everyone

A variety of policies provide maximum control with minimal impact to the user experience. For PlayBook tablets, BlackBerry Mobile Fusion uses the trusted security of the BlackBerry solution to provide an added layer of protection. Activation establishes a secure connection with the BlackBerry® Infrastructure, so administrators can ensure that work information sent to, from and on tablets is secure, including email, calendar and contact information delivered using Microsoft® ActiveSync® connections behind the firewall.

To manage BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, BlackBerry Enterprise Sever v5.0.3 or BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express v5.0.3 is required. Ensure your organization is taking advantage of the full capabilities of BlackBerry Mobile Fusion by upgrading your BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express to v5.0.3. Purchase the BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5 Upgrade and Install package to get the software upgrade key and access to an expert to who'll work with you to install, deploy and manage the upgrade process.
