There are many career paths you can take at BlackBerry, so we understand you may have questions as you consider your options. Below are some of the general questions we're often asked.

Registration Process

 

How do I register and apply for roles at BlackBerry?
  • Applying for a job BlackBerry is easy. The first step is to visit our online Candidate Portal at www.blackberry.com/careers to search for career opportunities globally. Click on View Available Careers on the Careers home page.
  • Once you have found a job of interest, click Sign In to log into your candidate profile to apply to the job.  If you have not yet created an account, click Apply or Apply with LinkedIn to complete the application process. 
    • Note: An account is not required to apply for BlackBerry jobs. If you wish to create a profile, you can do so in one of two ways. You can create your account by clicking Sign In in the top right hand corner of the Candidate portal prior to applying to a job, or after the submission of your application, where you will have the opportunity to create your account.
  • You will be presented with an application wizard, which will take you through standard screening, education and employment related questions.
  • Upon completion of the application process, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your application.
Do I need to create an account to apply?

Yes you are required to create an account to apply to BlackBerry jobs. The process is simply and affords you a number of benefits.

What are the benefits of creating an account?

Creating an account makes applying to jobs easier. Features include:

  • Apply quickly using your dynamic profile
  • View application status
  • View application history
What is BlackBerry's policy on Equal Opportunity Employment?

I forgot my password. How can I reset it and gain access to my account?

Click Sign In on the top right hand corner of the Candidate Career Portal and click Forgot Password. You will be prompted to provide the email address used when first registering. Upon submitting your request, an email will be sent to you to with new login credentials and you will be asked to create a new password for your account.

Students & New Grad Inquiries

 

Where are student job opportunities posted?

All of our student job opportunities are posted online at BlackBerry.com/students. Some schools may require you to apply through your co-op/internship office in addition to the BlackBerry website. Please check to ensure you're following the process outlined by your school.

When do you recruit for student positions?

Student/internship opportunities are posted during September, January and May. Check back often to view new opportunities or to set up your profile to receive notifications when a job matching your skills and interests becomes available.

Which BlackBerry locations offer student job opportunities?

BlackBerry offers student positions in all of our Canadian locations, including Waterloo, Mississauga, and Ottawa. Student positions are also available in the United States in Redwood City, CA, Issaquah (Seattle), WA, Irving (Dallas), TX, and Pleasanton, CA.

Do you have to be in a registered student/internship program to be hired for a student position?

Though we prefer to hire candidates through a registered student/internship program, we’ll consider students not registered in formal programs. However, you must be returning to full-time studies upon completion of your term with BlackBerry.

Is relocation support available for students?

BlackBerry will provide relocation assistance to those individuals accepted for a student position who are required to relocate outside of the state/province of their school for a work term with BlackBerry.
