Challenge

Large-scale enterprises like 3M China have thorough internal approval processes to ensure that procedures are followed properly. Due to the high frequency of business trips among executives, approval procedures were often delayed and a solution that improved approval efficiency was required.

Solution

3M China appointed Aspire Information Technologies (Beijing) Ltd., a BlackBerry® Alliance Member, to develop an e-Form system for the BlackBerry platform. 3M had recently deployed BlackBerry® smartphones across the company and wanted to give executives the ability to approve forms while travelling.

Executives can now receive the required approval forms on-the-go and review supporting documentation by using the attachment viewing feature. The entire solution is designed to be easily accessible from the BlackBerry smartphone while executives are out of the office.
