Challenge

  • Sales force wasted time figuring out how to get from one appointment to the next and many times had to travel longer distances than needed
  • Recording account activities was very time consuming and the system was only updated at the end of the day
  • Sales representatives were unable to access recent account activity, look up the status of orders or review product inventory and had limited communication with their managers and colleagues

Solution

Servicios Cybercell SA provided the sales team with BlackBerry® smartphones to use email and BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™) to update their daily sales activity and have quicker access to customer data while away from the office. Sales force uses the Waze Latin America application by Location World for access to directions, maps and up-to-the-minute traffic reports from their BlackBerry smartphones. They also use Documents To Go® to prepare reports on each customer visit.
