Challenge

In a survey taken of business professionals, Wmode found that while they increasingly use their mobile devices to send text and email, voice calls remain a critical component to daily business operations. The developer saw a need in the marketplace for professionals to easily track and log voice calls and extract analysis from the collected data. The solution would require an open, accessible platform that would reach its target audience and provide monetization opportunities to be successful.

Solution

Wmode developed an application called Momentem™, a mobile tracking and expense management app designed to help busy professionals track phone calls and emails for billing purposes. The app is sold as a monthly subscription service, where users can sign up directly at the Momentem website or via leading carriers and handset manufacturers. A user can download the app onto their BlackBerry® smartphone; immediately start tagging their calls, build a list of clients and projects on-the-fly, and accurately bill their time and recover their costs.
