The Challenge
Skytrans Group relied primarily on desktop computers to manage its business operations. Since employees spent a lot of time attending meetings out of the office, significant time lapses sometimes occurred before a Skytrans Group employee responded to a vendor or partner’s request. Delays in response times have the potential of affecting customer relations, since quick responses are critical in the fast-moving logistics field.
The Solution
BlackBerry® smartphones were deployed to half of the company’s employees—including those employees who work in the field. The devices offered access to email, business contacts, calendars and BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™)—facilitating the way employees communicated with each other, partners and vendors.
