Get on your way with BlackBerry Maps

Download BlackBerry® Maps on your BlackBerry smartphone and get where you want to go—faster.

Ready to start using BlackBerry Maps?
Here’s how:
  1. Download BlackBerry Maps if you haven't already.
  2. After you’ve downloaded the BlackBerry Maps application, you can open it by locating the BlackBerry Maps icon on your BlackBerry smartphone Home screen and clicking the trackpad/trackball.

Update BlackBerry Maps

  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, click on the Maps icon.
  2. Press the Menu key and select Options.
  3. Press Global Map Options (for users running BlackBerry® 6 only).
  4. Press the Menu key and select Clear Cache.
  5. Select Delete when prompted to delete cached entries.

Find where you are

  1. Open BlackBerry Maps from your BlackBerry smartphone Home screen.
  2. Press the Menu Key.
  3. Click Find Location.
  4. Click Where I Am.

Bookmark a location

  1. Press the Menu key while looking at a map.
  2. Click Add to Favorites to save the map for future reference.

Get directions

  1. Press the Menu key while looking at a map.
  2. Click Get Directions.
  3. Enter your start location and end location.
  4. Select your route preference (i.e. fastest route, shortest route, avoid highways, avoid tolls)
  5. Click Search.

Send directions

  1. After getting directions to a location (see get directions section above), click View On Map.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Click Send Directions.
  4. Select how you'd like to send the directions (i.e. by email, PIN, MMS, group message, messenger contact).
