Paging service is currently available for the BlackBerry® 5790, RIM 850™, RIM 857™, RIM 950™ and RIM 957™.
With the optional BlackBerry® Paging Service, numeric and alphanumeric pages can be sent to your BlackBerry device through conventional telephone paging or web-based interfaces, including Internet paging, email paging and Telocator Access input Protocol (TAP).
Why Use BlackBerry Paging?
BlackBerry Paging allows people without email to send messages to BlackBerry users through the traditional telephone paging interface as well as the Internet. Ideal for professionals who interact through telephone, using your BlackBerry device as a pager can reduce the number of devices that you are required to carry. Even if your device is turned off or temporarily out of coverage, your pages will be stored and forwarded automatically when you return to coverage.
