Stay on top of your eBay activities

Keep track of your listing activities while away from your computer with the eBay® Application for BlackBerry® smartphones (beta).

Set up the eBay Application for BlackBerry Smartphones and get notifications

Once you have downloaded the app, follow the instructions below to sign in:

  1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the eBay icon.
  2. Press the Menu key, then click Sign in.
  3. Type your login information, then click Sign in.

By default, you will receive a notification when the following happens:

  • You are outbid
  • An listing that contains a watched item is ending soon
  • You win a bid on an item in an listing
  • You lose a bid on an item in an listing
Start using the eBay Application for BlackBerry Smartphones

Now that you’ve downloaded and signed in, here are a few tips to get you started:

  1. Search for an item from the eBay home screen by typing a keyword or item number in the search eBay field.
  2. Bid on an item by clicking Place Bid when viewing it. Type your maximum bid, then click Continue. The item you bid on appears in your bidding items list. If you win the item, the item then appears in the won items list.
  3. To view your favorite sellers, press the Menu key, then click My eBay, then click Favorite Sellers.
  4. To add an listing end date to your BlackBerry smartphone’s calendar, when viewing an item, click Add to Calendar.
  5. To pay for an item using PayPal®, click Pay with PayPal in your won items list. Then follow the instructions on your screen.
