For BlackBerry PlayBook tablets
By updating your BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet OS, you may be able to enjoy new features or enhancements. There are two ways to update your OS:
- Directly from your tablet (over-the-air)
- Using desktop software
Update using desktop software
You can use BlackBerry Desktop Software to look for and install updates on your tablet. Once you have it installed on your computer, simply connect your tablet to your computer and open BlackBerry Desktop Software, then click Update.
Update from your PlayBook
Updating to the latest PlayBook OS is free and easy, and happens over the air.1
